Tucked below the villas of Port d'Andratx, Cala Llamp is the quieter, more grown-up cove of the southwest — deep, still water the colour of ink and glass, framed by pine and rock.

There is no beach to speak of, which is precisely the point: you swim off the boat into water that stays calm when the wind gets up elsewhere. It is a favourite for groups who want somewhere serene to spend the middle of the day, roughly an hour from the marina. A long lunch, a swim, the tender ashore for a drink at one of the cliffside clubs if the mood takes you.
