Sa Dragonera lies off the western tip of the island like a sleeping dragon — uninhabited, protected, and wild in a way the busy southern coves are not. The narrow channel between the island and Sant Elm holds some of the clearest water in Mallorca.

As a natural park it is buoys-only, which keeps it quiet and pristine. We make it a full day: cruise up the coast, pick up a mooring in the channel, swim and snorkel in the crystal water, and take the tender across to Sant Elm for lunch ashore or eat on board looking back at the island. About an hour and ten each way, so there is plenty of the day left to enjoy once you arrive.
